Michael Jackson’s kids have had little to no contact with their birth mother Debbie Rowe, ever since she signed away all custody rights after their divorce in 1999.

However, the kids are getting older now and there have been reports that they are growing an “intense bond” with Rowe.

Entertainment Tonight reported that Paris Jackson and her mother reunited for her birthday at Ahi Sushi in Studio City, Calif. on April 3.

According to Rowe, she and Paris celebrated 15 candles with a day of shopping and quality mother-daughter time.

Although the late King of Pop preferred to be a single parent, his family seems to have no problem with the children building a relationship with their mother.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Jermaine Jackson said he thinks “it’s great.”

“I think that’s wonderful. The kids need their mom. I think it’s great. That’s their mother. That’s wonderful. That’s a good thing,” he said.

Michael Jackson, who passed away in June of 2009, married Rowe in 1996. The couple had two children together, Paris and 16-year-old Prince Michael Jackson Jr.

We don’t know if Debbie has also reestablished a relationship with Prince, but we hope she decides to stay around more.
