As a parent, I get how disappointed you are when your child makes a bad decision (and for the record, twerking on camera is a really bad decision). The anger that fuels that beating can quickly switch to abuse. But it’s so many things wrong with this video. From the excessive whips, to the numerous screams heard and even the real question I want answered–who is recording this in the first place.
The biggest point that I take from this is that this isn’t new. What’s new is our technology. So every moment of our lives is documented. What our parents did to us may have been abuse at times, but it was never questioned. We knew we did something wrong and this was the punishment.
Hopefully that father from the video reads this and takes my advice. It is our responsibility to learn from this type of discipline and actually have conversations with our children.
