A medical assistant from a Philadelphia abortion clinic told a jury this week that she split the spines of at least 10 unborn children during botched abortions. The shocking news was a part of the capital murder trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell is being accused of the deaths of a patient and seven babies. According to USA Today, prosecutors are accusing him of terminating late-term babies, after they were delivered alive, which is a violation of state abortion laws. While abortions are typically handled in utero, these abortions from this specific clinic break Pennsylvania laws because after the 24th week of pregnancy, abortions are illegal. As it should be! If my calculations are correct, that is a pregnancy in its sixth month!

Of course Gosnell and his legal council are denying these claims, saying that none of these babies were ever delivered alive. The case continued to cause shock in the courtroom as other clinic workers recalled horrific scenes, like a “pinkish” baby, who was approximately 30 weeks along, left in their work areas. One worker in particular remembers Gosnell joking about how big the baby was, claiming it could have walked to the bus stop. Another gruesome scene was when Adrienne Moton, a clinic worker taken in by Gosnell, had to kill a baby who was delivered in a toilet by cutting its neck with scissors. Moton has plead guilty to third-degree murder, conspiracy and other charges and is facing up to 40 years in prison, of which she has served two.
Apparently, this clinic is known for its second-term abortions. It’s being reported that, “Workers got $20 bonuses for second-term abortions on Saturdays, when a half-dozen were sometimes performed.”
