Way before you meet the man you want to spend the rest of your life with, you most likely have already dreamed about two important occasions: your wedding and the time he proposes. You’ve ironed out every detail, the shape of the diamond you want, the color band your heart covets…
Mendeecees popped the question to his girlfriend Yandy Smith, on last night’s episode of “Love & Hip Hop,” and left viewers with tears cradling their cheeks as he set up a beautiful and romantic proposal.
His elaborate scheme, which consisted of surprising Yandy in a candlelit room adorned with rose pedals, was a breath of fresh air from the previous proposals we’ve seen on reality TV (coughs: Jim Jones).
Despite the fact that Mendeecees is currently awaiting trial for a drug trafficking case stemming from a 2005, his love for Yandy is evident in how far he went to make her special moment the ultimate memory.
Check out some key points from his proposal:
Get approval from mom (or dad)
Get a second opinion on the ring
Set up a romantic place to propose (rose petals and candles optional)
Get down on one knee
Smile and say some kind words before you pop the question (a fresh haircut works too)
Embrace your new fiancee!
