So many beauties have taken their natural hair journey and embraced it for what it is–hard, frustrating, rewarding, and empowering. What I find most interesting about the natural hair revolution is that it’s brought so many women together to take it one step further an adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Tashia and I have a similar hair story. Except I still eat one pound cheeseburgers and overdose on candy. She ditched meat and eventually gave up the creamy crack and stopped getting relaxers. After a few inches of growth, she decided to do the big chop. Tashia wanted to show her daughter that she loved her hair. It was extremely important to set an example and create a mindset that images of natural curly hair is just as beautiful as the images of relaxed long hair. But she’s no hair nazi, and confesses that going natural may not be everyone.
The process of cutting your hair and finding the right products for your hair type is difficult, and will teach you a lesson in patience. But along the way, Tashia fell in love with a few products that, to this day, she cannot live without. Check ’em out!
“Shea Moisture is a staple in my hair regimen. The shampoo leaves my hair and scalp feeling clean without drying my hair out.” – Tashia
“This conditioner is for all hair types. It locks in the moisture and makes detangling my hair super easy.” – Tashia
“I love this oil spray because it gives my hair a really great shine. Plus peppermint is my favorite aromatherapy oil.” – Tashia
