It looks like morning anchor, Soledad O’Brien is looking for new work these days. O’Brien may have just started as an anchor on “Starting Point” last year, but according the the New York Post, her time is up. It’s being reported that head honcho at CNN, Jeff Zucker wants to move Erin Burnett into O’Brien’s morning slot. O’Brien claims to have been promised a prime-time slot on the network and because that position hasn’t surfaced, she’s expressed her interest in moving on. It seems O’Brien’s position at CNN has always stood on a shaky foundation.

Soledad joined CNN in 2003 as a part of the “American Morning” show alongside Miles O’Brien. By 2007, both hosts were replaced and O’Brien focused her efforts on her documentary “Latino In America,” which led to a CNN special, “Black In America.” The show documented the successes, struggles and complex issues faced by black men, women and families since Martin Luther King Jr.’s death.

We’ll be sad to see Soledad leave CNN, but with her award-winning track record, we know her career will see new heights!
