Bow before Queen Bey! Beyonce is worth over $300 million — and possibly even more! Last year alone, Forbes estimates she earned $40 million, putting her at no. 18 on the list of highest-paid musicians.

And though she’s married to Jay-Z (worth $475 million), she’s a fiercely “Independent Woman” when it comes to her money. It’s a trait she can hand down to their daughter, Blue Ivy.

“I truly believe that women should be financially independent from their men,” she told GQ. “And let’s face it, money gives men the power to run the show. It gives men the power to define value. They define what’s sexy. And men define what’s feminine. It’s ridiculous.”

Beyonce Knowles’ wealth comes from music, film, and endorsement deals. After leaving Destiny’s Child and embarking on a solo career, Beyonce produced mega hit albums like “Dangerously in Love,” “B’Day,” and “I Am … Sasha Fierce.” Her most recent album, “4” debuted at at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts — her fourth in a row.

Beyonce is also an acclaimed film actress, starring in “Austin Powers in Goldmember,” “Dreamgirls,” “Cadillac Records,” and “Obsession.”

But perhaps the biggest source of Beyonce’s wealth are her huge endorsements deals. She’s been a spokewoman for L’Oreal, American Express, Samsung, Ford and DirectTV, and created fragrance and fashion lines. In December 2012, she signed a deal with Pepsi reported to be worth $50 million. After a stunning performance at the 2013 Super Bowl, Beyonce announced a world tour, which should add to her immense net worth.

“I have a lot of property. I’ve invested my money and I don’t have to make any more, because I’m set,” she said of her financial success. “I’m now able really to be free and just do things that make me happy.”

Like spending all that money!
