I have very fine hair and it is thinning. I have braided and permed it for years. Please tell me if there is a way for me to grow stronger, thicker hair. I don’t have problems growing my hair, but would like for it to grow in thicker.

Hey Cynthia,
It’s common for hair that’s been braided for years to become thinner over time. Therefore, refrain from braided or tight styles for the next 6 months. Braids, or any tight hairstyle, create tension on the hair and scalp which eventually causes shedding. I’d also recommend no chemicals until you can determine the exact cause of thinning. If you must relax your hair, I recommend Design Essentials® Lo Lye Relaxer with Shea Butter. It’s a gentle relaxer that’s designed to mildly straighten, leaving hair fuller and thicker with more volume.
