Yeah, I know, the “B” word can be pretty scary during the wedding planning process, but if you tackle it at the beginning, things will be much easier for you. Don’t skip this step!

I’ve met with lots of couples who go to wedding shows and immediately start pricing out the cost of vendors. Usually, they freak out when they add up the costs of all the vendors they love and figure out that they will have to spend $75,000 on their wedding.

Relax.

If you approach the budget by adding up all of the vendors you think you want to include in your wedding, you will come up with a big number. I promise. So, to save your sanity, take this approach instead: Sit down with your fiancé, your parents and anyone else who might be contributing to your wedding budget. Find out exactly where all of your money is coming from and what the total amount is that you have to spend. That is your wedding budget.  Read More
