I couldn’t help but waltz down memory lane when I got a chance to chop it up with Holly Robinson Peete. She’s always been a big sister in my head and her life is a testament of all the amazing things she contributes to the lives of others. Because of close family ties, Peete is an advocate for Parkinson’s Disease and Autism and she tirelessly fights against both diseases detriment to her loved ones.

Peete is the definition of a woman who has it all. As a mother, wife, entrepreneur and all around super woman, Holly proves that wearing multiple hats can be as easy and effortless as “Hanging With Mr. Cooper.” You see what I did there. With a new lifestyle line hitting stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Home Goods, Peete is setting herself up to run the world.

In between gushing over our favorite “Mr. Cooper” moments and me trying to convince her to give into the reality tv show takeover, Holly explained how she expresses love, get over breakups and why she lusts over her husband when the kids aren’t around.

*If I was stranded on a desert island I’d bring…Definitely bring bottled water. I would bring my dog Harriet, if I couldn’t  bring my whole family. And I would bring the CD “Songs In The Key Of Life” by Stevie Wonder, because it never gets old.

**How do you express your love…By saying it. You gotta say, “I Love you.” You gotta say it on a regular basis because you never know when it will be the last time.

*** The best way to get over a breakup…I’ve had other breakups, not romantically. You know, co-workers. I’d say, focus on the positive stuff. Focus on the good times you had. And get a voodoo doll and stick it with some pins.

**** The one thing that I don’t like about myself…I think probably what I like least about myself is what I love most about myself, is my desire for perfection. I love it and I hate it. It’s a Virgo thing.

*****What was your last moment of lust…We’re out in New York with no kids, so it could’ve been last night.
