It’s very difficult to break through in this music industry today. Not only do you have to have the vocal talent, but you have to have something unique enough about you to grab the attention of fickle music lovers. Newcomer, V–does just that. She’s soulful, funky, sexy and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

V pushes the envelope and it’s even apparent in her latest video fro “Poison.” She sings “Y’all remember when it was cool to be black? Cool to be dark. Cool to have naps?” as each word pops up in black lettering.

CeeLo Green put his faith in V when she walked into his life via NBC’s singing competition, “The Voice.” CeeLo calls V:

“Vivacious, Visceral and Vital. A Vision a Voyeur can live Vicariously thru. A Vow a Voice so instantly Vintage it could never be in Vain. Ladies and gentleman answer your doors, you have a Visitor.”
