President Obama is clearly the candidate for women. Between equal pay for equal work and Obamacare’s coverage of preventive care like mammograms and cancer screenings, and are beginning to cover birth control without co-pays or deductibles, women are supported wholeheartedly by the Obama Administration.
President Obama even has a bigger platform to stand on as Hollywood A-listers like Alicia Keys, Kerry Washington and Gabrielle Union join forces for his behalf. Nia Long has also been working promote voter registration and other Get Out The Vote efforts around the country.

I’m so thankful that I live in a time and place where women are able to be first-class citizens and vote, proudly. This is my third election and so far, each of them has felt like the first. I stand impatiently in line and by the time I reach the private booth, I almost tear up, imagining my single vote being a part of a bigger picture for a better tomorrow. As corny as it sounds, I never get tired of being a woman with a voice.
