On the Life Is Good/Black Rage tour with Nas, Hill recently debuted a new track called “Black Rage.” Folks in Dallas, TX were in for an old-fashioned lesson from Lauryn Hill. There was no “Miseducation” there.

Ever the messenger, Hill prefaced her performance by saying:
“I simply remember all these kinds of things and then I don’t fear so bad. So obviously, this is a song about confrontation, right?
So I said, Black rage is founded, fed us self hatred, lies and abuse while we waited and waited.
Spiritual treason, its grid and its cages, Black Rage is founded on these kinds of things.
