This week, we all beamed with pride as President Obama drove it on home with the final presidential debate. By the end of the debate, it seemed as if Mitt Romney was going to cast his vote for President Obama because he agreed with the incumbent on most of the major issues revolving the election.

General Colin Powell also came out and full endorsed President Obama. But to have a few political minds critique him, it’s because President Obama is black. Shameful. But that’s not as shameful as Sarah Palin’s claim that the Obama Campaign has “shucked and jived” its way through the Libyan attacks.

With the election looming, political big wigs are bringing out the big guns and shooting to kill. There’s so many stories that smart black chicks should be wrapping their heads around. Just in case the weekend creeps up on you a little too fast, I’ve got a list of stories that will get you to the glorious thing that is Saturday.

As always, you’re welcome.

1. Hormones Affect Women’s Votes

CNN was reporting that women’s hormones drive their votes and Twitter erupted in a firestorm of backlash against the media giant and they have since taken the article down. They made the following statement about said article, “After further review it was determined that some elements of the story did not meet the editorial standards of CNN.” But this quote was taken from the article before it was taken down, “While the campaigns eagerly pursue female voters, there’s something that may raise the chances for both presidential candidates that’s totally out of their control: women’s ovulation cycles. “You read that right. New research suggests that hormones may influence female voting choices differently, depending on whether a woman is single or in a committed relationship.” Check out how women’s hormones effect their voting on Washington Post.

2. Colin Powell Endorses President Obama Because He’s Black

On CNN, former governor, John Sununu gave his opinion on why General Colin Powell endorses President Obama. Sununu said, “Well, I think that when you have somebody of your own race that you’re proud of being President of the United States — I applaud Colin for standing with him.” It’s 2012. It’s sad to see that we’ve come so far in regards to time, but mentality is still stuck in an endless racial spiral. Check out Sununu on CNN and the full story on Think Progress.

3. Donald Trump Gets Stumped On His Own Big Annoucement

Donald Trump has always came for President Obama. From demanding his birth certificate to recently claiming that he had a big announcement that would change the course of the election. As we all waited on said announcement, Donald Trump back pedaled. He then released a video that gave President Obama a wager to make his college applications and transcripts and passport history public and that if he does, Trump will give $5 million to a charity of the president’s choice. The best reaction to this so far has been Stephen Colbert’s counter offer to Trump. Check out the full story on ABC News.

4. The Obama-Haters Book Club

When a black man was elected president, most of us realized there would be a racially motivated backlash. I had no idea there were over 80 books proclaiming sincere hate for the game-changing president. President Obama is a man of many haters. Most of these books paint President Obama as a lying, cheating radical down the destroy America. Maybe they confused him with the president before him, just sayin’. Check out the full story on The Daily Beast.

5. Sarah Palin’s Back & Still Spewing Stupidity

Via her Facebook page, Palin wrote a blog about the Obama campaign’s reaction to that attacks in Libya and titled it, “Obama’s Shuck and Jive Ends With Benghazi Lies.” We all know what the phrase “shuck and jive” refers to and there’s no denying the racism in her words. Now all of a sudden Palin wants to be clever?! Check out what The Root had to say about Palin’s blog.
