Whitney Houston’s legacy will forever live on and no matter how much turmoil we witnessed in her personal life, she will always be regarded as a vocal masterpiece among her peers and lifelong fans alike. Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Celine Dion will join forces for “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston,” which will air on November 16th on CBS.

More performers are to be announced, according to the Associated Press, the tribute will include Houston’s “most memorable performances” as well as interviews from various artists. I hope they sing some of these classics:

She has been gone almost eight months and it feels like just yesterday I was in a cab on my way to a 90’s dance party, in the freezing snow and heard the news on the radio that we’d lost the legendary songstress. The heart-breaking news spread quickly because the DJ at the 90’s party spent most of the night playing Whitney classics. It was surreal then and it’s still surreal now.

The only thing that makes me happy in this, is that Whitney will forever live on through her impact on the music industry. The compilation album, “I Will Always Love You – The Best of Whitney Houston,” will be released on Nov. 13.
