Kato Kaelin’s name may ring a bell to you if you followed the O.J. Simpson trial in the late 90’s. (In case you are too young to remember, O.J. was found not guilty of the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown-Simpson and her friend Donald Goldman.)

Kaelin was a friend of Simpson’s who was unemployed and living with Simpson at the time of the murders. He played a pivotal role in the case because lived in Simpson’s pool house and witnessed the comings and goings of O.J. Simpson the night Nicole was murdered. Kaelin claimed he heard ‘things’, but never said he saw O.J. killing anyone.

According to the New York Post, Kaelin now feels free enough, 18 years later, to admit that O. J. Simpson is indeed a murderer. Kaelin says, “The statute of limitations has now passed . . . so I can now say . . . yes, he did it.”

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably wondering why Kaelin never said anything back when he was freeloading off of Simpson.  He claims, “I was too scared. I was terrified.” I don’t blame Kaelin, but now that O.J. is safely behind bars for another crime, Kaelin feels secure enough to admit what he should have back when he was on the stand.
