The Beyonce and Jay-Z baby bump managed to completely overtake last year’s entire MTV Video Music Awards. Beyonce bounced and sanggg her way through “Love On Top” as her husband proudly saluted. When Bey dropped the mic and rubbing her belly and telling us all she had love growing inside of her she wanted us to feel, nothing else after, or before, mattered. There’s some folks and or moments that still deserve some type of honorable mention.
Chris Brown donned all white and sang, then flew his way through Wu Tang’s “Protect Ya Neck,” Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and a few of his own hits. He has redeemed himself and the performance was proof that Chris is a legend in the making.
Britney Spears was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Britney’s been a pop icon since she burst onto the scene with “Baby One More Time” in 1999. So the length of her tribute came as a shocker.
Bruno Mars’ tribute to Amy Winehouse perfectly suited the “Rehab” singer’s 1950’s vibe.
