The 16 year-old received criticism from the twitterverse who claimed that Douglas didn’t properly represent the black American community because she had not taken better care of her hair.
Type “Gabby Douglas” into Google, and the most dominant phrase is not “Gabby Douglas gold” or “Gabby Douglas Olympics.” It’s “Gabby Douglas hair.”
