Putting your child first doesn’t always mean you’re putting yourself last. It’s no surprise when you have children that you put all your needs and wants last. It’s almost second nature. However, I think it’s important to remember that if we as parents don’t feed our so souls, then what do we have to give to our children? What do I mean by feeding your soul?

Well, when is the last time you thought about learning a new skill or when was the last time you thought about picking up a new hobby? Learning new things and finding outlets to be creative are great ways to ensure that as a parent you are happy and fulfilled. Think about it–if you are not fulfilled and happy in your life, then how can you bring happiness and fulfillment to your children? It is so imperative that we take those steps as parents to better ourselves so that we can be the best we can be fore ourselves and our children.
Remember: Putting your children first doesn’t mean you have to put yourself last.
