Marijuana names are some of the most eclectic labels placed on mind-altering substances. They’ve got monikers like “Charlie Sheen Og,” “Linsanity” and “W.T.F.” to name a few. Huffington Post is reporting that a Los Angeles medical dispensary called 45 Cap Elite Herbal Center was selling “Whitney Houston Og” weed for $180 a half-ounce. The cannabis was spotted on an online menu.
When the shop was called and questioned on the “Whitney Houston Og,” they confirmed it was on the menu and sold there, but when asked if Houston’s estate was aware, the shop attempted to backpedal. Today, 4/20–a special day for pot smokers–the “Whitney Houston Og” as well as the “Charlie Sheen Og” have been mysteriously stricken from the menu.

It’s no secret that Whitney Houston indulged in various drugs, not limited to Mary Jane, but naming a strand of it after the fallen pop icon is poor taste; especially this soon after her death. I wish folks would let Whitney Rest In Peace.
