Lately, a few things have been happening that I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around. So the best way to attempt to understand these things is to discuss them. So here’s three things that celebrities have done lately that have made me say, “hmm.”
1. They Found Love In a Hopeless Place
In the beginning of Rihanna and Chris Brown’s relationship, the two singing lovebirds were perfect together. They both had promising careers that kept them climbing up the charts, on magazine covers and endorsing all the best products.
Then that one fateful night, Chris put his hands on Rihanna in a way that only cowards do. Those actions changed the course of his life and certainly their entire relationship.
There was a court order that the two stay away from one another and it’s my personal belief that that order should have been made permanent. The two of them are young and in love and despite everything that’s happened between them, the love is still there.
If the whispers and rumors are true–holding themselves in a room, spending quality time together and recording songs–they can’t stay away from each other. Most of us know what it is to have a love so magnetic, consequences of it are ignored. However, they are not good for one another.
2. My Funny Valentine
I’m very grateful that I don’t have the type of friends that like to play pranks. What’s worse than pranks played on you by your friends? Having your boyfriend propose to you, then tell you it’s all a joke and he just wants you as his Valentine.
When Lil’ Wayne popped the question to his girlfriend, he later told Twitter that she said yes to being his Valentine and, “Y’all krazy.” Unless Weezy’s girlfriend was in on this little joke, I don’t see anyone laughing but him. How pissed would you be to get a ring from your man, only to find out he was kidding? Worst. Joke. Ever.
3. A Blues For Brown
I couldn’t imagine once sharing my life and my love and my life with someone and then not be able to attend their funeral. Not only that, Bobby Brown also hasn’t been able to see his daughter, Bobbi Kristina since Whitney Houston passed away.
Death should bring families closer. Whitney’s family is none too fond of Bobby because they feel he played a major role in Whitney’s addiction. No fingers really need to be pointed at Bobby at this point. Whitney’s already gone and we all should be a little more suspicious of Ray J.
In the end, I’m glad the Bobby gets to attend his ex wife’s funeral. I just hope they don’t keep him away from Bobby Kristina.
