Fans are eager to see “Golden Girl” Betty White host “Saturday Night Live” on May 8, and now it seems that comedy’s most favorite OG will be joined by hip-hop’s biggest star: Jay-Z has been tapped as the musical guest for the show’s May 8 episode, according to multiple sources.
Both will appear on the Mother’s Day episode, which will feature appearances by a number of female “SNL” vets.
Jay-Z, who will headline Coachella on Friday night (April 16), has appeared as a musical guest on the show several times before, but this appearance will mark White’s first turn as “SNL” host.
When she heard she’s be sharing the stage with the rapper, White said, “Well, that’ll be interesting! It’ll be great fun.”
