There’s a lot of articles on the net that give guidance on how to get rid of that pesky hangover after you’ve had one too many Patrons the night before. To be honest, most of them say “pop and Advil and drink some water,” but as we all know this sometimes isn’t nearly enough to get through your day at work. Here’s HB’s list of surefire ways to get rid of that hangover!

1. Start nursing your hangover before you go to sleep. Take some Advil, Aleve, Tylenol (or whatever floats your boat) before you hit the sack. The #1 rule of pain is if you fight it before the pain starts it’s easier to control. So if you take those meds before the headache starts it will never become a splitting FML type of headache.

2. Eat and drink before bed. Have some crackers or bread to soak up all that alcohol before you sleep. Also, remember that a hangover is basically extreme dehydration. This means that if you drink a few large glasses of water before bed you’ll wake up less dehydrated AKA hung-over.

3. Take a cool shower. Your blood vessels are dilated and you need to cool and soothe yourself back into shape.

4. Water is great but Gatorade is the best. Athletes drink Gatorade because they need to fight extreme dehydration by replacing electrolytes. Consider your hangover on the same level and just drink the damn Gatorade already.

5. Eat! Eat! Eat! Cheese, bread, eggs, bacon, home fries! This is not a time to watch your weight. Eat those greasy and oily foods to help soothe your stomach.

6. Alka-Seltzer. This will also ease your tummy and make you feel less nauseous.

We hope these tips help you fight through your next nasty hangover! Good luck ladies!
