R&B singer Cee Lo Green is famous for his single, “Forget You” however; he’s now teaming up with Duracell’s “Power of Those Who Protect Us” program to help benefit the National Volunteer Fire Council. This council is a nonprofit organization that represents volunteer firefighters and EMS services. The new song entitled “Thank You” is a remake to his song, “Forget You” and can be downloaded for free at the Duracell Facebook page.

Cee Lo sat down with the folks over at MTV.com recently and opened up about his new single. He stated, “It’s a very noble cause, and I connect with it very, very personally because my mother was a fireman as well — one of the first black female firemen in Atlanta, Georgia, so quite a historic accomplishment.”

Love to see celebrities giving back to the community, and expressing their thanks to some of our nation’s leaders.
